Validation from Corporate


In response to a recent blog posting, a brave cyber warrior (the kind that makes the guys from Seal Team 6 knocked-kneed) commented as follows:

If our managers tell us we shouldn't be ringing items separately, then we will not.

You know what? He's right. If your manager tells you to do something, you should. It's called doing your job, and that's what this guy is doing.

But, what if what the manager tells you to do something that is wrong? Like, refusing to ring through multiple items separately?

I decided to email Starbucks Customer Support and see what they had to say on the matter. Today, I received an email from them with the following information:

Case closed.
